Tsaritsyno joins #IWDparkrun on Women’s Day

Mar. 5, 2020

On March 7 parkrun Tsaritsyno joins the global flash mob. Its goal is to break down all the barriers that women face in daily life: fear of being insufficiently prepared, being “too slow”, being mistaken and so on. It is only a small part of the experiences that women and girls involved in sports can get. We want to inspire them to come to parkrun and see how many people are willing to support them. A flash mob will help show that parkrun (free weekly runs of 5 kilometers) is for everyone, no matter what age, level of training or gender you are.

In order to make solidarity visible, we invite everyone to parkrun Tsaritsyno on March 7 in lilac clothes. The start of the race, as always, at 9:00. Come yourself, call your mothers, grandmothers, daughters, sisters, girlfriends, colleagues and neighbors – it will be great if more women join the world sports movement. Employees of Tsaritsyno Museum-Reserve will also participate in the flash mob.

Official hashtags for March 7 festive parkrun are #IWDparkrun and #ThisGirlCan.

The route will traditionally pass around the Lower Tsaritsyno Pond.
