Apr. 12, 2021
From April to October the Tsaritsyno Museum will hold a series of plogging – jogging with picking up litter. They will connect Moscow cultural heritage sites.
This year the Museum announced the start of a series of free track and field races “Cultural Plogging”. All of them will pass along the paths of museums-reserves, estates and nature conservation areas in Moscow. During the trail, participants will collect non-degradable waste, mainly cellophane and plastic. The race runs along the saved GPS track, the leading and trailing runners accompany the participants.
It is not necessary to be a real runner to participate – it is enough to be able to jog for 5 km. Participation in the races is free, by prior registration. Registration opens 2-3 weeks before the start of the race on Tsaritsyno Timepad.
The first plogging started on April 10. The participants ran from the park’s main entrance along the Tsaritsyno ponds and along the Kashirskoye highway, then reached the Kolomenskoye museum-reserve. Ploggings will take place throughout the summer season.
