Museum
In 1979 Tsaritsyno was granted the status of a historical monument and it officially became the Tsaritsyno Museum. In the 1990s major restoration effort was launched and it wasn’t completed until 2007.
The museum owns an extensive collection. Permanent exhibits include Soviet decorative art of the 20th century, traditional arts and crafts of Slavic nations, Russian jewelry of the 16th – 20th centuries, archaeological finds, sculpture and much more. Numerous temporary exhibitions are held at the museum all year round. They are devoted to various periods in the history of Russia and the history of Tsaritsyno itself.
