Parkrun Tsaritsyno’s birthday will be celebrated on August 31

August 31 marks four years of parkrun Tsaritsyno. The parkrun Tsaritsyno free run is held every Saturday to popularize amateur sports and a healthy lifestyle. The organizer of the race is ANO “Parkran” with the support of the Tsaritsyno Museum-Reserve.
Parkrun Tsaritsyno is one of the most picturesque Moscow “parkrans”, free weekly races for a while. It is held along the coastline of the Lower Tsaritsyno pond. Participants of the race admire the panorama of the Grand Tsaritsyno Palace, run past the new boat station and nesting sites of rare waterfowl. Among the runners of parkrun Tsaritsyno there are juniors and veterans, beginners and experienced ultramarathons, often the guys from the Sociobeg project come to visit.
On August 31, Moscow runners will gather to congratulate parkrun Tsaritsyno on his fourth birthday and run 5 km through historic sites. To participate in the race, you must register.

After the race, a tea party will be arranged for the participants to summarize the results of the race and discuss parkrun plans.
The start and finish place is a paved area near the Novotsaritsinsky highway. The length of the route is 5 kilometers. The race route runs around the Lower Tsaritsyno pond, along gravel and dirt paths (80%) and tile (20%, on the Shipilov dam). The movement is irreversible. The track is flat, with slight rises on the 2nd and 4th km. Signs-cones are used for marking, volunteers are in disputed places. The race map can be found here.
Participation in the race is free, a medical certificate is not needed. To take into account the results of the race, the participant needs a barcode that can be printed from the organizers website.
