Aug. 17, 2021

IV Festival of Historical Gardens will be open in Tsrytsyno in September. On the territory of the Air Gardens, next to the Tsaritsyno greenhouses, the exhibition “In Search of the Russian Garden” will be open all days of the festival. This year’s participants are the museum-reserves of Tsarskoe Selo and Yasnaya Polyana, Kulikovo Pole and Melikhovo, the Bogoroditsky museum-palace and park, the museum-estates of “Ostafyevo” – “Russian Parnas” and “Arkhangelskoe “, Vladimir-Suzdal museum-reserve and house-museum of Levitan in Plyos. Each museum, in partnership with contemporary architects and designers, will create its own unique landscape composition, which in its own way will answer the question: what is a “Russian garden”?

In total the IV Festival of Historical Gardens will comprise more than 12 landscape compositions. Tsaritsyno museum-reserve will present the garden of the Forgotten Baroque, dedicated to the earthen pyramid – one of the unique but partially lost objects of Tsaritsyno landscape park. The garden be created by architects Maria Ozherelyeva and Mikhail Sudakov. The exhibition of landscape compositions will be held daily for group and individual excursions, tickets for which can be bought in advance on the museum’s website or already in the park – in the First greenhouse building.

All information will be published online on tsaritsyno-museum.ru.
