The museum is open to the public from January 22
Jan. 22, 2021
From January 22 our museum will open to the public. We’ve prepared new exhibitions, concerts and excursions. Of course, orangeries will also delight you with flowering plants – for example, lilacs are blooming there right now.
Please note that tickets to the museum can only be bought online – on the museum’s website and Mos.ru portal.
Here is some news of everything that you can see with us right now (and some news about the plans).
New exhibition “Ceramics. Paradoxes” is ready to receive the museum’s guests offline! In the meantime you can read the Vedomosti article by Lyudmila Burkina who attended the exibition a little earlier in search of an answer to the question why the interest in ceramics is growing.
The exhibition-performance “Bird Concert” tells the history of birds in art that began in antiquity.
The permanent exhibition “Tsaritsyno of Catherine II” is dedicated to the concept and twenty years of construction of the Tsaritsyno palace ensemble.
In the exhibition project “Catherine II. The Golden Age of the Russian Empire” you can learn the history of the 34-year reign of the main character of Tsaritsyno – through engravings, documents, portraits, weapons and even household items.
“Catherine Block of Monplaisir” is a real museum tour of the Monplaisir Palace in Peterhof. An excellent opportunity to learn more about Alexander I and the art of the Alexander Empire style.
The permanent exhibition “Grand Style Art” is a treasury of Soviet decorative and applied art from 1961-1991.
On January 29, the Opera House (Middle Palace) and the Third Cavalry Building will open. The exhibitions “Palace inside a palace” and “Tsaritsyno’s Dachas” will start working there.
And in Tsaritsyno orangeries, as in the”Twelve Months” fairy tale, spring can come even in January.
Let’s not forget about the music: ticket sales for the concerts, which will begin on January 31, are already open.
Meanwhile, the following exhibitions are now being prepared for the opening:
- “Why does a child need a bear?” in the Bread House;
- “Tsaritsyno Silver Storeroom” in the Grand Palace;
- Children’s Museum in the Grand Palace.
Upon entering the museum, you will need to put on a mask, measure the temperature and follow the developed routes. For our part, we carefully follow all accepted regulations so that your visit to the museum is safe.
Take care of yourself and each other!
