Tsaritsyno and the History Department of Moscow State University signed a cooperation agreement

On Tuesday, August 27, an agreement was signed on cooperation between the Tsaritsyno State Museum-Reserve and the History Department of M.V. Moscow State University Lomonosov.

The ceremony was held in the Atrium of the Bread House – the place where concerts of organ music usually take place. The signing was attended by the Director General of the Tsaritsyno Museum-Reserve Elizaveta Fokina, acting Dean of the Faculty of History, Moscow State University Lomonosov Lev Belousov and deputy of the Moscow City Duma Stepan Orlov, who initiated the creation of this document.

Tsaritsyno already cooperates with a number of educational organizations, but for the first time such a document is signed with Moscow State University. Cooperation between the Museum-Reserve and the History Department of Moscow State University will develop through the organization of joint scientific research, the preparation of scientific and educational publications, and the conduct of joint educational and scientific-practical events on pressing problems of mutual interest.

Tsaritsyno is a young museum; it lives very actively. This place, which constantly rethinks itself, asks itself questions: what are the meanings we carry, what story we tell our guests. Together with the Faculty of History of Moscow State University, we want to explore history and take Tsaritsyno to new horizons in terms of its various aspects, ”said E. Fokina.

In his speech, acting Dean of the Faculty of History of Moscow State University, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor, Academician of the Russian Academy of Education Leo Belousov emphasized that the revived Tsaritsyno is of great interest to historians and art historians, which can be realized through student practice, student research and, possibly, in the future, candidate and doctoral dissertations. “We historians are practical people. By signing the agreement, we want it to work, ”he stressed.
