Tsaritsyno Announced One of the Winners of Moscow Travel Hack
Feb. 10, 2020
Tsaritsyno announced the winner of the Moscow Travel Hack hackathon on its project—the creation of an intelligent audio guide through the museum. The application developer was MIXAR team. The team received a check for RUB 100,000 from the organizer of the hackathon—the Committee on Tourism of the city of Moscow.
On February 8 and 9, the Moscow Travel Hack hackathon was held at the Moscow Technopolis. The development teams solved the tasks set by ten Russian and international partners, including the Tsaritsyno Museum-Reserve. The contestants presented their projects to the jury, which selected the winners who shared a cash prize of 1.1 million rubles.
The Tsaritsyno Museum-Reserve set an unusual task for the hackathon participants: to create an audio guide along museum routes, immersing the guest in the special atmosphere of Tsaritsyno, with smooth transitions between points of interest (audio tags), unobtrusively leading the visitor through our territory, and having the maximum comfortable management for the user and the simplest administration technology.
According to the results of the hackathon, the winning MIXAR team presented a ready-made prototype of a guidebook that every smartphone owner can use. It will be enough for the guest of the Museum-Reserve to point the smartphone screen on an object to see a selection of photos, brief information and listen to an audio help on its history.
Moscow Travel Hack is Russia’s first hackathon and scouting of turnkey solutions in digitalization of the tourism industry. For 30 hours, 50 teams of 175 people worked on the Moscow Travel Hack site. About 500 people became guests of the hackathon finals on February 9.
